Thank you for joining us in our pursuit of hydrogen-electric flight advancements. In recent months, we’ve been focused on achieving milestones, including the successful construction and testing of our proprietary high-temperature PEM fuel cells, as well as announcing our collaboration with B1900D-HE European launch customer, EVIA AERO.
Hear from our CTO and co-founder, Stuart Johnstone, as he shares the latest on our high-temperature PEM fuel cell developments.
Stralis secured funding from Ara Ake in New Zealand to work with Fabrum to develop and build our Bonanza aircraft liquid hydrogen fuel system and wing-tip storage tanks.
We are thrilled to announce EVIA AERO as European launch customer for our B1900D-HE. They committed to purchasing six aircraft, with options for ten more, and are establishing one of Europe’s first zero-emission commercial aircraft fleets.
Stralis has signed a contract with a major aircraft industry partner in Japan to provide expertise on high-temperature fuel cells and hydrogen-electric aircraft propulsion systems. Hydrogen plays a significant role in Japan’s energy transition strategy, making this a key step toward a longer-term strategic aviation partnership for Stralis in Japan.
CTO and co-founder Stuart Johnstone took to the stage as a finalist in the Avalon 2025 Blue-Sky Thinking Innovation Award for Genny Long-Legs. Genny is a self-contained hydrogen-electric powered flying generator with high auxiliary electric power generation, intercontinental flying range and supplies pure water as a by-product.
CEO and co-founder Bob Criner presented at the 5th Australian Jet Zero Council meeting at Qantas HQ in Sydney. Representing Stralis and the Hydrogen Flight Alliance, he highlighted the massive opportunity for hydrogen-electric aircraft to revitalise regional aviation and to help decarbonise the industry.
Our Bonanza program completed the initial ground test and used insights to upgrade the system. In the upcoming months, ground testing will continue to prepare for the system's integration, starting with Clyde and then Bonnie. We’re pushing hard towards the first Bonanza flight by the end of the year.
We are seeking expressions of interest from the global Bonanza community for hydrogen-electric aircraft retrofits to gauge market interest. We held webinars with potential interested parties and are now discussing Letters of Intent with customers.
The first family of liquid hydrogen tanks registered in Australia have arrived. The registration process was funded by Stralis and AMSL Aero and was conducted by BOC (a Linde company). This “Dewar” will enable transportation and refuelling of LH2 for aircraft testing and help to unlock the broader LH2 supply chain.
CEO and co-founder Bob Criner presented at the RAAA Into the Future Conference at the 2025 Avalon Air Show, providing an update on the Bonanza program’s progress and explaining how hydrogen-electric propulsion will reduce regional aircraft operating costs in the future.
CEO and co-founder Bob Criner joined the Cicada x Tech23 Brisbane Roadshow discussion panel, exploring the power of partnerships for deep-tech startups and navigating the complex global market shifts that are underway.
